The Greatest Mistake

When I recently came across a quote that really struck a chord with me I did what every good little blogger would do — I immediately turned it into a blog post. However, the blog gods didn’t really like it I guess because somehow the post entirely disappeared. As I went searching for the quote again I came across a number of gems that are all worth sharing. So instead of my pre-planned post, please accept this list of mind benders, heart warmers, and thought provokers. All that follow are from Elbert Hubbard, American writer and philosopher.

Do your work with your whole heart, and you will succeed – there’s so little competition.

Character is the result of two things: mental attitude and the way we spend our time.

Be pleasant until ten o’clock in the morning and the rest of the day will take care of itself.

I would rather be able to appreciate things I can not have than to have things I am not able to appreciate.

If you suffer, thank God! It is a sure sign that you are alive.

Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal.

The greatest mistake you can make in life is continually fearing that you’ll make one.
